Que-1 What is a Map Showing the boundaries of countries and state?

Ans-1 The earliest map which we known about, was made in 2300B.C. It was drawn on a clay table or a tablet. In course of time maps were made to show boundaries of land or property boundaries. Some of these maps were made as early as 2200 B.C

 Que-2 What is a map on a very large scale?

Ans-2 A 'large' scale map is one in which a given part of the Earth is represented by a large area on the map. 

 Que-3 What is a rough drawing not drawn to scale?

Ans-3 Sometimes maps are drawn on a very large scale.A plan shows a small area on a large scale and a map shows a large area on a small scale.

Que-4 What is Map?

Ans-4 A Map is a representation of the Earth’s Surface.

 Que-5 What is meant by scale of map?

Ans-5  Map scale refers to the relationship (or ratio) between distance on a map and the corresponding distance on the ground.

 Que-6 Name the four cardinal directions?

Ans-6 The Four cardinal directsion are East, West, North and South.
