Answer:When Andy reached the post office for the second time, two persons were getting letters. The postmaster was selecting the letter for each from a large parcel that lay before him on the counter.

Answer:Andy took away two letters from the heap because he was not ready in any situation to pay eleven pence just for one letter that he would get from the postmaster.


Question 7.What made Andy feel delighted?

Answer:Andy felt delighted because he managed to get three letters for eleven pence.

 

Question 8.Why was the squire puzzled to see Andy happy?

Answer:Andy was happy for nothing. Hence the squire got puzzled to see him.
