Question .1 How can the mediaeval towns be broadly categorised?

Answer .1 The history of the growth of various mediaeval towns differ from one another. But broadly these towns could be categorised into three groups administrative or Court towns, pilgrimage towns, port and trading towns

 

Question .2Name some towns that were important pilgrimage centres.

Answer.2 Towns like Banaras, Varanasi ,nasik ,Kashi ,srirangam chidambaram, mathura and ajmer are important pilgrimage centres.

 

Question .3Name some goods that found their way to the market of Delhi.

Answer-3 Superior quality rice and sugar from kannauj, wheat from Punjab and better lives from dhaar in madhya Pradesh found their way to the market of Delhi.

 

Question 4 How did the craft work develop in India during the mediaeval period?

Answer 4 The carpets depicted as a animals in combat or flowers. The flowers were even so carefully that they could be easily identified.the artist prepare designs on the paper which were executed by the craftsmen according to the ability and skills.the craftsmen and traders organised themselves into guides which helped them produce different articles of great quality.

 

Question.5 Faced how did the trade develop in the town of masulipatnam?

Answer.5 Paper machilipatnam developed as a manufacturing centre in heavy tattered by weavers and dyers full stop settlements of the weavers and dyers. cloth printers and clothes centres develop. The change of masuli patnam were famous abroad for the good quality of their dyes the port city was famous for its kalamkari textiles and printings created by using vegetable dyes.
